Ducati M900 Monster – SOLD and shipped
Is it a classic or isn’t it? Well we think it is. This Ducati Monster is an original example of the M900 model first introduced in 1993 by Ducati designer Miguel Angel Galuzzi, the originator of the ‘naked bike’ style with exposed frame trellis and the 900cc V-twin engine with belt driven desmodronic valves and twin carburettors. The Ducati V-twin is unique in that the “V” is tilted forward so the front cylinder is nearly parallel to the ground, and often referred to as an “L-Twin” engine instead. Either usage is correct since a “V-twin” engine is not designated by a specific angle.
I bought it in 1995 and I’ve owned it ever since. Never restored, cosmetically it’s starting to show its age a little, but in a couple of years a strip-down and light restoration to the frame paint would give you an appreciating classic, a two owner carb version of the original Monster.
